Adventures in Power Yoga

Within the world of yoga postures, there is an infinite array of possibilities to explore. The goal of this class is to provide a safe, supportive and informative space for practitioners of all levels to investigate the mind-body connection, and to experience new possibilities in your practice both on and off your mat.

This class is offered by donation every Tuesday from 9:30-11am PST via Zoom. All levels are welcome. The only requirements to attend (other than an internet connection) are an open mind and desire to know what’s possible for you.

Beach Yoga

Soft sand between your fingers and toes. Gentle ocean breezes caressing your skin and the soothing sound of surf breaking on the shore just a few yards away… if ever there was a more perfect place to practice yoga, I have yet to find it…

Saturday @ 9:00-10:15a* - Deep Strength & Stretch
(See below for more info)

*Please note: The Beach Yoga schedule tends to shift with the seasons. If you’d like to be kept in the loop about changes to the schedule, please email blaffoon@gmail.com and write “Beach Yoga Mailing List” in the subject.

INFORMATION ABOUT BEACH YOGA:

If you’re new to Beach Yoga, here’s a little information that may be helpful for you:

1) Classes are held on Venice Beach in Los Angeles. The exact location is roughly 100 yards north of the Venice Pier parking lot, right out in front of the Venice on the Beach Hotel.

2) Parking is available in the Venice pier parking lot for a fee, or on the streets nearby. Some spots are metered, others are free. Street parking can sometimes be hard to find, especially in the summer, so if you plan to park on the street, make sure to leave a few extra minutes for the walk out to the beach.

3) There’s no need to bring a mat. We practice right on the sand. It’s better that way. Trust!

4) Beach Yoga classes are offered by donation. $15-20 is the suggested donation, but you are welcome to contribute as little or as much as you feel comfortable with. Donations can be made in cash, or via Venmo to: @BrentLaffoon.

5) Depending on the season, it can get a little chilly at times, so you may want to bring a layer to keep warm.
